Our Story

Owners Janine and Chuck Dickenson are multi-generational Napans, with deeply established roots in Napa Valley. Both attended local schools before graduating from UC Berkeley, then returned home to embark upon their careers, marry and raise their family. 

Janine is a former educator and Chuck is the senior attorney with Dickenson, Peatman and Fogarty, Napa’s largest law firm that has served the wine and viticultural community for over four decades.

We are delighted to have Darren Schauer serve as our manager. Darren is a transplanted Minnesotan, who  loves his newfound hometown– learning and exploring all aspects of wine and the wine industry. We are incredibly fortunate to have a gentleman of Darren's caliber as the NWL point man.

Our Facility

Janine and Chuck established Napa Wine Lockers in 1998 as Napa Valley's first wine storage facility dedicated exclusively to serving wine collectors locally and worldwide.

We continue to offer the Valley's most economical personal wine storage, while maintaining a stellar reputation and wine storage conditions.

NWL is temperature controlled at 57 degrees, with 24/7 security, motion detection, and temperature alarm systems, as well as automatic fire sprinklers.

We offer Private Lockers and  Large Lot Storage for local collectors and wine producers.   Space in The Vault or The Treasure Trove is reserved for  out-of-state and worldwide wine collectors, for whom we maintain inventory and facilitate shipping.
